ABOUT THE JULIAN TAYLOR BAND AND DAVID FRANCEY

With a soulful voice and captivating stage presence, Julian’s unique blend of blues, roots, and folk music has earned him a growing fanbase and critical acclaim not only in Canada but also in Europe and the United States. He’s earned four JUNO award nominations (including 2024’s “Contemporary Roots Album of the Year” for “Beyond The Reservoir”), three 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards nominations along with a pair of Canadian Folk Music Awards for “Solo Artist” and “English Songwriter of the Year”, five Native American Music Award nominations, plus being long-listed on the Polaris Music Prize.

The recipient of three JUNO awards and three Canadian Folk Music Awards, David Francey is a Scottish-born Canadian carpenter-turned-songwriter, who has become known as “one of Canada’s most revered folk poets and singers” (Toronto Star). "Francey's clear, simple songs speak volumes to his followers. It's amazing how he manages to address deep stuff with such spare ingredients" (The Edmonton Journal). David Francey is also nominated for a JUNO award for 2024’s “Traditional Roots Album of the Year” for his album “The Breath Between”.
