Volunteer Opportunities
The Grove Theatre needs volunteers just like you! We have outlined some of the positions we will need help with below. Administrative Office
Administrative duties may include marketing (including invitation and solicitation mailings and phone calls), development, and arts engagement.
Education
Assisting in the creation, development and delivery of our education programs.
Concessions
Help us run the Theatre’s concession stand.
Usher Services
Responsibilities includes distributing programs and literature, ticket taking, and providing our patrons with way-finding and seating service.
Canvassers
Individuals who feel passionate about The Grove Theatre and are interested in helping us spread the word to friends and neighbours.
Groundskeeping
Distributing mulch, pulling weeds, picking up garbage and other gardening as required.
Accessible Transporation
Driving our golf cart to assist patrons with accessibility needs.
Production Set Up
Assisting with the set-up or take down of lighting or sound equipment. Heavy lifting is required.
Community Ambassadors
Serve as an ambassador by assisting with a wide variety of tasks including attending community events and festivals, staffing tables, distributing flyers, greeting visitors, and educating the community about theatre.
Special Events
Help with galas and donor events (including party planning, set up, and service during events).
Sewing
Basic sewing of costumes from either of our two mainstage productions.
Ticket Scanning
Using your smartphone, scanning tickets as patrons arrive.
Parking
Directing cars as they arrive on the Fairgrounds
Amphitheatre Set up
Set-up or take down of chairs.
