Be social and support The Grove!
As a fan of The Grove, you already know that this project will be a major economic booster for our community, attracting not only local residents and cottagers but also tourists from far and wide. You also know how much has been achieved so far, thanks to the wonderfully generous support of so many people in the community.
But right now, the key to a triumphant debut season (and we are working on some safe programming for August) is to get even more people on board as supporters – and you can help us do that.
To maintain the momentum that has built so steadily since this project was first announced, we’re asking you to help us get the word out, encourage others to get involved and urge them to lend their support. In particular, we’re asking you to …
JOIN US in becoming a volunteer for our upcoming Fundraising Drive! We’re looking for passionate individuals who are willing to go door-to-door (safely) to help increase awareness and encourage residents to book a tour of the amphitheatre. Diane and Gord Grunwell will guide you through it, every step of the way.
We know how much fun volunteering for The Grove can be – but don’t just take our word for it. We’ll let three of our amazing fundraising volunteers speak for themselves:
“As I have learned over the years, dedicated volunteers are truly the lifeblood of these unique cultural attractions, for the benefit of our whole community,” says Flavelle Barrett, a core canvasser here at the growing Grove.
“The biggest benefit in supporting your community through volunteering and fundraising is watching the community grow in a positive way,” chimes in Martha Denton, who can’t get enough of The Grove.
“Volunteering has introduced me to so many wonderful people that have become friends over the years; and I’ve learned a tremendous amount in the process,” enthuses Tina VanderHeyden, our resident life-long theatre professional.
These are the kinds of lively, passionate and inspiring people you can connect with as a Grove Theatre fundraising volunteer. Zest, fun, a sense of purpose – we could all use a little more of that in our lives right now. So why wait?
The Grove Theatre is on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. If you haven’t done so already, take a moment to follow us on all those platforms and add The Grove Theatre to your newsfeed. And don’t forget good old-fashioned word of mouth: whenever you see your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues, seize the opportunity to gab about The Grove.
