Musicians Wanted

The Grove Theatre will be hiring two musicians for our upcoming production of Million Dollar Quartet. We are looking for a drummer and an upright bass player. These are paid positions.

Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Seeking: Drummer and Upright Bass Player to play 50’s rock music including Matchbox, Hound Dog, Great Balls Of Fire, Walk The Line, Fever and more. Musicians will play characters in Million Dollar Quartet and will have a handful of lines. The Grove is looking for experienced musicians who are team players and interested in playing in an outdoor theatrical setting for the summer.

Rehearsals: June 20–July 19 / 2:30pm–6pm (Monday’s off)

Performances: July 20–August 27 / Evening Performances 8 p.m. (Every other night of the week Tuesday–Sunday, Mondays are dark.)

Brother Jay, 20’s to 30’s—upright bass player, brother of Carl Perkins

Fluke, 20’s to 30’s—drummer for Sun Records Studio

To apply: Please submit a short video of a 50’s rock song that shows off your performance skills. Include a picture and resume if possible as well as an introduction.
